Organizational Development

The strategy was right.
The organization wasn’t ready.

That was before.

Now the leaders are aligned, the culture supports the mission, and the team can execute without someone holding it all together.

Discuss Your Situation

No pitch. Just a straightforward discussion about what you’re facing.

The Work

Developing organizations through their people — not just their processes.

Organizational development is the work that makes strategy executable. It’s change management, leadership development, culture transformation, team effectiveness — the human infrastructure that determines whether a good plan actually gets implemented.

Organizational development gets confused with organizational design — drawing boxes on a chart, redoing reporting lines. That’s a different discipline. OD builds the leadership, mindset, culture, and capability inside the organization — changing how people think about the work and why it matters — so they can deliver on what the business needs. It’s what TRG has done for 26 years.

“We deliver a recommendation based on their actual revenue and their growth projections. Then we execute with them, helping them learn and understand the journey. We give them the process book — and when we leave, they own it.”

Change management is one of our primary tools — not the only one.

Change management is a core component of OD — it’s how organizations move through transitions without losing momentum or people. But organizational development also includes strategy and alignment, leadership development, employee engagement, team effectiveness, culture work, diversity and inclusion, and succession planning. We bring the full toolkit — from our GOST strategic-planning framework to leadership coaching — deployed based on what the situation actually requires.

When Organizations Call

The organization has to develop — not just get bigger.

While growth is important, becoming a better organization is what makes it possible — and that takes developing your people, not just adding more.

Leadership Transition

A new CEO, a retiring founder, a leadership team that needs to step up. The transition plan covers the role — but nobody’s developing the leaders who have to make it happen.

Post-M&A Integration

The deal closed. Now two cultures have to become one. People are uncertain, engagement is dropping, and the value that justified the acquisition depends on teams that don’t trust each other yet.

Culture That Hasn’t Scaled

The culture that worked at 30 people doesn’t work at 150. Values are understood but not practiced. The founder’s presence used to hold it together. Now it needs to be built into the fabric of how work gets done.

Strategic Transformation

The business model is shifting — new markets, new capabilities, new technology, new expectations. The strategy is rarely fully clear yet, and the team needs to develop new skills, new behaviors, and new ways of working to get there.

Team Effectiveness

The leadership team is talented individually but dysfunctional together. Meetings run long, decisions don’t stick, accountability is uneven. The issue is how the team operates.

Employee Engagement

Turnover is climbing. Survey scores are flat. Exit interviews say “management” or “culture.” The symptoms are visible — the root cause isn’t. And the usual fixes (perks, pizza parties, town halls) aren’t working.

The Approach

Diagnosis first. Then development.

We don’t prescribe programs until we understand what the organization actually needs — and where the real gaps are.

Organizational Assessment

Before we develop anything: what’s actually happening? Culture diagnostics, leadership capability mapping, engagement data, stakeholder interviews. We assess the organization that exists before building toward the one you need.

Leadership Development

Developing the leaders your strategy requires — not generic leadership training. We work with your actual leadership challenges, your actual team dynamics, and your actual business context. Coaching, development planning, and real-time support.

Change Management

Moving organizations through transitions without losing the people and momentum that make them work. We draw on Prosci, Kotter, Conner, and Bridges — and 26 years of knowing when each one fits and when none of them do.

Implementation Partnership

We don’t hand you a development plan and disappear. We co-execute alongside your team and build the internal capability — and the growth mindset and curiosity — to sustain the work, leaving you with the knowledge to run it yourselves.

Experience

We’ve developed organizations through major transitions.

Organizational development during enterprise transformation. Leadership team alignment when a company needed to change how it operates. Culture work during M&A integration where two organizations had to become one. The common thread: transitions where developing the people was the difference between a strategy that worked and one that stayed on paper.

We bring expertise in the human side — because organizational development without implementation is just a training deck that never changes behavior.

Engagement Snapshot

Enterprise transformation: IT leadership in conflict, business partners building shadow-IT workarounds, no change-management practice inside the division. We built a global, volunteer-led change network from scratch and aligned the leadership team around a shared vision.

Scaled from a single division to the entire global IT organization. Leadership team aligned; business-partner trust rebuilt through structured engagement.
